When they stick out into the bathroom, they take up space you cannot afford to lose. Go with smaller appliances or fixtures that stick close to the walls. This way you have more floor space available and the bathroom looks bigger.

Vertical lines are an excellent addition to the bathroom decor when you are dealing with a small space. It can provide more height in your bathroom.
